Built on LOOK’s LXT enclosed contractor trailer platform, the Cable Splicer Trailer features a steel tube frame with 16" on-center crossmembers, wall studs, and roof bows for exceptional structural strength. To ensure long-term durability in harsh environments, Battlecoat® polyurea coating protects exposed steel components, while an automotive asphalt emulsion undercoating shields the entire chassis from moisture and corrosion. This robust foundation is designed to withstand the daily demands of heavy-duty commercial use.
The exterior is optimized for jobsite safety and long-term weather protection. A seamless aluminum roof and VHB bonded, screwless .030 aluminum exterior provide a sleek, professional look while preventing leaks. To improve field safety, each trailer is equipped with integrated backup lights, amber strobe lights, and rear loading lights. For added security, barlocks are standard on all doors to protect valuable splicing equipment and tools.
Inside, the workspace is tailored for precision fiber optic work with premium Brawn® Engineered Structural Panels that are moisture-resistant and 247% stiffer than plywood. A 24" stationary mill-finished countertop provides a dedicated work surface, supported by overhead aluminum cabinets and undermounted lighting for organization. The climate-controlled environment—featuring a 13.5K BTU air conditioner, heat strip, and baseboard heater—ensures crew comfort and equipment stability in any weather.
